1. "Jesus went places most religious leaders did not...instead, he reached out to the outcasts, hung with the lowly, and loved the down and out." Am I following in His footsteps?
2. John 4:10 "If only you know the gift of God!" Have you accepted His love, allowed and asked him to work?
3. Have you asked God what He is up to today? If not, ask Him...and expect Him to tell you. If you don't hear, keep asking. Jeremiah 33:3
4. "We experience God as much as we are ready to receive Him!"
5. We ask, "Why does revival tary?" If we are not confessing & praying, we are part of the reason."
6. "The problem is NOT WITH THE DARKNESS, the problem is with the LIGHT!"
We the church must come back to our Creator, allow Him to clean us, mold, and help us shine more brightly.
7. Deuteronomy 30:15 and following = "The Sequence of Departure from the Lord"
8. Measure yourself to GOD's plumbline, not your moms, friends, sisters, cousins, the medias...just the Lord's.
9. Don't put the cart before the horse, do as He says...Humble yourself, Seek the Lord, turn from wickedness, THEN....He will heal land/nation.
10. God does not discard of His children, He longs to give them Fresh Encounters with Him.
11. Do you hear the ALARMS going off in our world. God is not trying to get "the world's" attention, He is trying to wake up "His church." Are you enjoying your sleep? Or will you get up?
12. "Vengeance is mine" says the Lord.
13. "If the greatest commandment is to Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength. THEN, the greatest SIN is to NOT love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength every minute of every day, of every week, month, of every year of your life."
14. Woe to them, Woe to You, Woe to me. - Isaiah 5, 6, 7
15. When sin is "in the camp," take it out of the camp and stone it. Allow God to clean house in every corner of your life. What He reveals as sin, don't "relabel it" to make it sound nicer, call it sin, then take it out and stone it. Leave it. And be ready for Him to work and use you like never before. Hang on. If you allow Him, He will use you more than you could imagine or think to build His Kingdom and do His work that He has specifically gifted you, and planned for you to do.
I am sure you expected to read a laundry list of what happened and what went wrong in my day. But, I hope you were pleasantly surprised and challenged as I was today. The above thoughts came from the first few sessions at the Fresh Encounters Conference we are attending here in Georgia. Some of the speakers were: Henry Blackaby, Anne Graham-Lotz, Claude King, and many others. It has been an honor to be under the teaching of those who allow the Lord to speak through them.
